I’m not trying to argue we shouldn’t have a run. I’m just trying to understand the rule.

If Javy could hit and play like this for a whole season it sure would make a huge difference.

They took it to review because the ump called him out and he wasn’t tagged. He never left the baseline. The baseline is the chalk line and you have to be like five feet away from the chalk line while trying to avoid a tag. That was no where close to being out of the baseline

Jack is losing command, he’s close but off just enough walking two straight with one out in the 5th.
Sucks, his pitch count is good would have been nice to get two more innings.

I’d call it a day on Jack. Pitched well, went 5 and is at 80 pitches. Would be nice if the Tiger could scratch out a run in the bottom of the inning and maybe get him a win.

Probably too early to know.
I do think it will lead to umps being replaced quicker than years past, hopefully no more CB Buckner or Angel Hernandez umping for 20yrs

Agree, I get Hinch trying to let Jack work through this command thing but the leash better be really really short in this inning

Ok AJ, give him the handshake and call it a night, he done good. A strong start once again for this rotation thing is KC also has a pretty good rotation and we are seeing their 3 best pitchers this series iirc.
