I’m pissed that all three games this week are 1 o’clock. They couldn’t give us one evening game? Meanwhile, they slurp on the Red Sox and Yankees.

That is hard to believe. I’m a bit shocked.
It’s all about pitching and who gets hot in baseball. They could revert to late 2024 and early 2025 mode. Also, they might not. If you are a paid subscriber, I’ll reveal all.

after having the best record in baseball for much of the year, they finished, wait for it, tied for 10th best record.

If we lose tomorrow, that means that we will have lost 3 consecutive Skubal starts to the SAME team.
I don’t care who you are, you are going to have a very hard time beating that guy three times in a row.
So, assuming we don’t lose our third consecutive Skubal start in a row to the same team, we’ll then have to win one of two with all of the pressure on them.
I think there is a very real shot we win this series, and apparently the odds makers do too.

We clinched this year on the same exact day that we clinched a spot last year (2nd from the last game)
The two seasons have a completely different vibe though.
A loss tomorrow would also be our 4th consecutive Skubal start loss overall.
Well, you do know our bullpen has to close the game unless we get a full game out of Skubal
Right now we have no reliable bullpen/Closer, and we score about 2-2.5 runs per game
Not a great combination to have going into the playoffs
Edit: I agree Skubal may not give up a run, I just don’t trust the BP to keep any lead over 3 runs
