At this point I trade Skubal no matter what.

Agreed.

While I do believe they could potentially make the playoffs if they get a few more guys back from the IL, there is also the benefit of trading Skubal sooner than later.

Teams that are looking to add Skubal might be willing to part with a better package of prospects if the trade happens earlier.

They could potentially get 3 or 4 more Skubal starts if he is dealt prior to the All-Star break.

No one wants to blame it on injuries but they really crushed them.

Losing Torres, Skubal, Carp, Mize, Verlander, etc all for significant time is hard to overcome.

And yes the bullpen of course has been a dumpster fire

You at least have to mention Hinch. He’s really helped the tank. The Tigers to me, are clearly the best team in the division, it has taken a lot for us to be this far out.

But we still need to sell. We could have a shit pot full of talent in the coming years. Rather than have a 30+ pitcher that could start seeing a decline soon. Sell all of the expiring contracts. Get us some new talent, better defensive players for sure.
