Tigers are 1-0 in July. 24 left. Realistically, the need to go 16-8 after today’s win, AND have to jump no more than 2 teams for a WC. This would to me give them 3 days to be buyers and go for it.
Anything less and you clean house and let Max2, Malgeri, Lee and either Valencia or Liranzo a look as backup C.

Not real familiar with these guys, nor have I listened to the below. At this point I trade Skubal no matter what. If Tigers want him bad enough sign him in the offseason as there is no way Boras signs anything now. He wants the Dodgers, Mets, and others to make offers, and Skubal will follow his lead imo. Which is probably smart on his part if we take out the Tiger bias
