Mike Vrabel said the move to change from natural grass to turf was necessary to protect the players. Read that gain, it wasn’t a typo. Shots fired!!!

Wonder if they can relocate the turf about 250 yards to the east when they open the new stadium in 3 years.
All this turf swapping has me thinking. Using today’s analytics, what exactly is the “safest” turf out there. Has this ever been determined? I mean outside of this:

There is so much conflicting info on that, it’s hard to keep up.
And then you have guys like Barry who played on concrete at the Silverdome and never got hurt.

It’s not unheard of. Didn’t the 49ers have a grass practice field that harbaugh refused to put his team on because the players felt it was unsafe?
