In 1957 I was in Germany. My dad was US Army and stationed in Stuttgart. No American TV then, all you could see on TV (if you had one) was a soccer game and old movies dubbed in German. It was different watching the Lone Ranger ride up to Tonto and say in a German voice “Wie Gehts?” (sp?)
We came back in 1960; I remember watching my 1st football game on my grandpa’s B&W TV. Jim Brown was really somethin’.
