I might be in the minority, but I hope he cracks the 53-man and gets his chances.
He has NEVER disappointed when given an opportunity.
.
He is a better athlete and bigger than Dortch, who I also have full confidence in for his role. I just don’t understand WHY everyone puts such a low ceiling on this guy.
You are right, he has always come through when given a chance, at least to my memory. I think the last couple years he’s been redundant to Raymond who they preferred in the same role, so his path to the roster was blocked.
Maybe a bit limited skill set but he can definitely fill a need and he’s shown he can play in the league. I can appreciate you wanting him to make the team!
I would take Chase and Higgins in a minute over any other duo. I would put ARSB and J-Mo 2nd on that list.
ARSB is a precise hard nose get it done WR that is not easy to find. And J-Mo is a classic high speed wide out.
Yeah - I’d take Chase and Higgins as #1. We’re #2. Jefferson and Addison #3, then Cowboys, then Rams…the latter two are high maintenance; that’s the reason I’d downgrade them.
The list is supposed to be the best WR duo going into the season and not supposed to be dependent on their proneness for injury, age, or if they’re headcases or not.
I would say if all of the WR’s were to stay healthy, which duo produces the most?!?!
A more interesting debate would be so you take our receivers in 2026 over the group in the 90’s? Do you take Moore, perriman, Morton and Sloan over st. Brown, jamo, teslaa and laporta?
Definitely a valid point. Like Megatron’s best season we were terrible and had to pass 50 times a game. I’m sure he would have gladly had 1400 yards instead of almost 2000 if it meant the team was good.
Bengals WR’s are good for sure but the defense has been trash and they play from behind a ton. Definitely leads to bigger stat numbers.
I’m going modern Lions but it’s pretty close. Throw Barry and Gibbs into the equation too. Barry was a better pure runner but Gibbs is definitely better in the passing game. Some pretty special skill groups.
Mitchell vs Goff is another massive factor in the debate.
I can’t be overly concerned with the article. I disagree, but I can understand their point of view. Beats numerous lists about where our players are rated and you feel IQ points draining away.
What if I gave the 90’s group Stafford at quarterback and todays group gets Goff? Saddling either group of skill players with Mitchell just seems wrong.
Stafford and Herman would have been deadly. Goff and Herman would not be is my first reaction to your question.
Both Stafford and yes Mitchell too just didn’t give a shit. Threw up jump balls all the time. Hence all the interceptions. Goff is the opposite, he trusts guys that run great routes and get open consistently. So very hard to analyse skill guys talent without knowing who is throwing the ball.
And for the record I ain’t comparing Stafford to Mitchell but they did tend to like the bigger jump ball, less separation type WR’s is my point. Stafford has clearly improved a ton since those Megatron early days and will be making the hall of fame
Jamo, early on i thought he was a kid with talent but was busy being an ass, I did not think he could turn it around-but he man’ed the ■■■■ up, stopped goofing around, began to think about his team mates, and started to take practices and meetings more seriously, did his best and help this team The guy really impressed me- I take that to heart! He busts his ass to make plays and help this team WIN-you ask me, He is damn underappreciated.
