Travis Kelse’s Fake 3 year $57m contract

Rapsheet posed he signed a 3 year up to $57m extension.

Realistically

Its a 1 year $8.45m contract (in terms of cap hit spread over 2 years) up to $11.45m with incentives.

But hes getting paid $12m up to $15m with incentives.

Thats all thats guaranteed. The other $45m? All fluf.

Doesn’t guarantee until 6/8/2027 allowing him to be a post 6/1 cut next year.

So yea call it

Cap hit 2 year $8.5-11.5m ($4.3-5.7aav)

Cash 1 year $12-15m (12-15m aav)

Reported 3 year $57m (19m aav)

@DeadStroke

Thats the fluffiest of fluff contracts ive ever seen in my life. $45m of FLUF?!?!

it's so fluffy despicable me GIF

Mr. Swift is just trying to prove that he earns more than what Taylor loses in the couch cushions.

Sounds like the agent may have Rapsheet report it the way that he did? OTC has it the way it normally reads…which is just 2 void years that do not even attempt to place a salary figure to those years.

So, one year $13.3 m.

What this contract says is he’s :100: retiring after this season.

Does KC draft that stud TE? A year of tutorship under Kelse would be smart.

No need…they have the great Robert Tonyan on the roster!

Yea because thats the realistic contract.

But in the details it says $40m becomes guaranteed after 6/9/27

So the 2 years become unvoided. Completely pointless to include. Other than to grab headlines
