I could see them drafting a young kid but bringing in a vet like one of these guys on a 1 year deal.

Cam is too big of a star and leadership magnet to be a full time backup. If you bring in Cam, he’s your starter. Anything else is unfair to the kid.
I think Alex Smith would be a good interim QB option.

Tyrod Taylor just makes WAY too much sense. Our OC was his HC last year. Bring him it, draft someone, and then just acquire as much talent as you can.

Id prefer him (fitz) with trey lance as the rookie at the moment. Id love that.
If not fitz, then tyrod would make sense.
I would question Tyrod Taylor’s brain power if he agreed to come in and “bridge” for another highly drafted rookie.
Bring in a rookie, but keep Chase Daniel. He’s seen a lot of football but he knows his place in the league.

Yea, his place is as a coach.
Taylor followed Lynn to the Chargers and they were together in Buffalo. I’d say that there is a very good chance of Taylor coming here either to be he backup or to be a starter for a year or two.
I don’t think that this year is the year for a high draft pick on a QB. They should draft BPA this year and draft the QB next season (when we will likely have a higher draft pick).

It definitely makes sense. I definitely hope people appreciate that Tyrod can be an NFL backup but Cam has too much star power and clout on his resume to be considered for anything but starter.
We went 5-11 and have the 7th overall pick in the draft. If we do even worse than that next year I think we’ve hired the wrong man. History would agree with me.

If Cam wanted to come here and start on the contract he did in NE. $1.75 plus incentives or even more. I’m all for it. We aren’t finding anyone 50% the talent of Stafford in UFA.

I would say yes to Tyrod, Jameis Winston, Cam, or anyone else who can play competently and not break the bank. I’d wait until the mid rounds to draft a QB, probably Jamie Newman or Sam Ehlinger, or both. We’re going to need time to sort this thing out, with all the new pieces in the front office, coaching staff, player turnover at receiver, tossing a rookie QB in there as a high 1st round pick seems like a waste for everyone involved from a multitude of facets.
That way we would FINALLY have an answer to the BURNINGEST QUESTION IN THE HISTORY OF THE DEN!
