Pass-rush juice AND the ability to set an edge. That’s the rub. Those guys don’t grow on trees. But I don’t think we’ll throw a bunch of resources at guys who only offer one or the other.
It just seems like the Chiefs always make logical trades. Like, if the need a wr and pass rushing de, they go trade for one. Its very frustrating to sit back and wait on Holmes
Again, for us, Uche is not a pass-rushing DE. If he was I’m sure Brad would have gladly given up that compensation for him.
What we’re looking for is harder to find.
So what happens in the meantime? The fans base will turn on him quickly if this team doesn’t get to the superbowl and possibly win it without a trade.
If they do, they’re fools.
You said it
That’s why it’s gonna take like 5 guys to replace Hutch and cycle them through
Reason chiefs will 3 peat!!! They have a GM not a Director of college scouting in the GM role.
Lol which practice squad bum is Holmes going to sign this week? Those are “our guys”.
Bingo
■■■■ the Vikings
Am I the only one that doesn’t know anyone from other teams anymore lol
He is more of a Cominsky type. Not going to give you any speed off the edge.
The chiefs GM vs Brad the college scouting director Holmes!!! Lol
Yes please. Last I knew his wife’s clothing business was based out of Detroit.
Not that it solves outside pass rush but our run D would get a big boost.
What about seeing what kind of shape Melvin Ingram is in?
Hope the Steelers win tonight but giants cover 11 points /)
Daboll fired
Sell off parts
Ojulari is mid but he can help
I would love Olujari for a 6th.
Z’Darius for a 6th just like Donovan Peoples Jones from Cleveland
Ojulari for a 7th via Dallas
Arden Key for a 5th
That’s my dream scenario here if we can’t get the big dawgs at Edge
Last season Washington was shopping Sweat and Young because the team was not competitive and both were going to be free agents and not going to be re-signed.
That is not the case this season.
This season it is just SamLB types Uche & Reddick.
Most of the good pass rushers are in the middle of contracts, and to make matters worse, everyone knows the Lions really need an edge rusher (or two).
Holmes will likely make a minor move and may have to overpay still.
He may even decide to stand pat rather than overpay (2nd rd pick for Z. Smith?).
So if Holmes makes a moderate acquisition many will still complain.
I like Z. Smith best because of his size, length and consistent sack production, but I wouldn’t give up a 2nd. Hopefully he can be had for a 4th.
Emmanuel Ogbah has similar size but has never had a double digit sack season and it’s been 3 years since his back to back 9 sack seasons.
Arden Key is long but is still a little light (listed at 240 lbs) for the Lions DE role.
Uche and Ojulari have similar weight but not the length of Key. But all three are more SLB than DE for the Lions.
Yep. I had zero interest in him
