Wow a 4.63. He looked much faster than that on tape

Super high end dual threat QB in HS. One of the biggest recruiting wins. He has some of those Lamar moves in the open field (the hesitation one foot jump back move sending defenders running by). Doesn’t have Lamar’s top end speed of course. But he has some close quarters magic precisely bc of his QB background. And he gets coverages bc of it. He’s going to play in the league for a while IMO. Hang around at least.

Yeah it’s his short area juice that’s special. You can kinda see it on the 3-cone.

Why short WR that are not even fast?

Because he’s electric.

I will be pulling for this guy. Kinda like him

Yeah, his speed is no issue between the lines. I think he got it down to 4.57. I heard him interviewees about how he spent far more time training at WR than combine prep. Said that he was behind his peers to start, and he was improving so fast at the position that he owed it to himself to keep pushing. He’s probably a 4.5ish guy if he got all the technique down. Maybe 4.48 or whatever. He’s not a blazer per se but it’s just fine.

17 on the bench. Pretty good for a guy his size. You see it in those stiff arms

Big news, huge signing:

Is his bro Hayden? I would assume so. Has he signed anywhere?

It looks like Hayden is available.

Maybe this is why we brought Mustapha in so many times:

Good athlete. Like a legit 2005 ILB type.

Given this WR profile…. I think we’re about to pursue Chark or someone like it.

Maybe we just roll with DPJ in that role. Feels like we need one more big body.

Yeah, it’s the one area I’m a little concerned with. That’s how the draft fell though. I wonder what we would have done if Arnold had gone where he was supposed to, I have a hunch we would have been in on one of those WRs.

On Chark, I wonder. We haven’t really shown much interest in bringing him back.

Chark on the cheap would be perfect. We know he fits the culture. Lovable dude. Chemistry with JG. Would be our best straight 9 option in all likelihood
