With things so close, here’s a look at each team’s remaining schedules:
Lions could get some help from Seattle. Both Minn & GB must travel to Seattle.
Plus, the Packers at Vikings will almost certainly cause one of them another loss.

MN could very easily finish 1-4 over the last 5 games.
GB could end up with the same 1-4 record.
Vikings should go 4-1, losing to the Lions in Week 18.
Packers should go 3-2, losing to the Lions and the Vikes.
We should expect no help, nor do we actually need it. This will make our championship season all the more epic!
So could the Lions! That’s why they play the games ![]()
I know pessimism isn’t the order of the day on here but we could easily drop 2 or 3 games as well given the health of the defense. If we get the number 1 seed AG deserves a HC job, assistant coach of the year and a night with Goff’s wife.
The big worry for me is the Eagles, their run in is soft as shit. Panthers, Steelers, Commanders, Cowboys, Giants and the only road game is the Commanders. They’ll be 14-3 at worst as long as they don’t implode again.
Steelers are a tough matchup, and Washington won’t be a cakewalk either – those divisional games on the road can be tough!
Pack beat the Vikes in Minny IMO
That’s a difficult schedule considering our D injury issues. As much as I’m preparing for some L’s, this team has stepped up all year so I won’t be surprised if they show up down the stretch. The O needs to be better than the last few weeks to take the pressure off the D.
Everyone is hedging their bets… Preparing for a few losses, me included… How sweet will it be when they end the regular season 15-1
Yes, the truth is we only need to win the next 4 games, the last one is optional.
Win the next 4, and we essentially get a 2-week bye.
Unlike the Lions, the Vikings have struggled to beat mid-level to poor teams:
Colts 21-13--------------- At Indy, Lions over Colts 24-6
at Jax 12-7--------------- Lions over Jags 52-6
at Titans 23-13---------- Lions over Titans 52-14
at Bears 30-27---------- Lions over Bears 23-20
at Cards 23-22---------- At Ariz, Lions over Cards 20-13
Vikings luck is going to run out.
The hardest games for Minn and GB are the divisional games. If we didn’t play Buffalo, I’d say the same for us. At this point, I don’t think we can rely on any outside help…the boys are going to have to try to win out to stay ahead of MN and PHI, unfortunately, I think.
Nobody has a pushover game left.
GB has 3 roadies that are rough

We could essentially put the Packers division hopes on life support with a win
Lions would be 12-1 with a sweep of the packers
Packers would be 9-4 with 2 losses vs us and already a loss to the Vikings
No kidding. If we set down the Honolulu Blue Kool-Aid, this is such an incredibly unlikely scenario at the top of the NFC. It’s giving Roger Goodell wet dreams.
Anything and everything is possible from here on out. Can Detroit survive any more injuries? Will the Eagle just stop doing what they’re doing? The Vikings are the weakest 11-2 team ever, weirdly similar to 2022. Packers won’t sh*t the bed like they did in our first matchup this year. Can’t we just enjoy a clear red carpet walk to the Super Bowl?

For all the injuries the defense was adequate in the Thanksgiving game. That game was close because of the offensive side of the ball: four first half red zone trips with only 13 points, missed field goal, Jamo doing a Titus Young impression. Had the offense played up to its capability, that would have been a two score victory.
On another day we’d have been up 35-0 at have. Honestly I thought it was our most dominant half all season, save the mistakes in the RZ. But when you play like that and don’t put your opponent down for the count, you give them hope. This is why Dan runs up the score, and why I’m fine with it.
Before the game, Lions were #2red zone defense in the league. Chicago was #4. Chicagos defense is better than a 4 and 8 team. Our offense is capable of playing better, but that was no pushover team. I hope they help us against MN and GB.
