I know it’s better psychologically for them to make the playoffs but I honestly want no part of getting all ramped up for an extra game when they’ll get torched by whomever they face in all likelihood. Laporta, Joseph, Branch, Arnold are all gone. DJ Reed is a glimmer of what he was. Same with McNeil. Hutch is stealing money. The only player on D with a pulse is Jack Campbell. The O is decent most of the time but still stalls out at the most in opportune moments frequently. I’ll bet y’all a Canadian dollar that Pittsburgh takes Detroit to the brink tomorrow. It’s sad to admit but this team is so far removed from week 3 of 2024 (last moment where I thought maybe they had a chance to win a SB). A lot of bad luck and a lot of self inflicted wounds by the GM.
I know Chicago losing was supposed to be our best bet at the playoffs, but at the same time I will never ever hope for the Packers to win a game period. So, I’m glad they lost. I want them out!
All I am concerned about is us winning these last 3 games.
Neither the Packers or Bears look good. So until it’s set in stone I want to believe we will win the divison.
Except for the Chiefs, every loss has been by one score. Not sure why you would expect us to get blowed out. I think we have the players and coaching staff to make up for one score… Especially because we are desperate. If I was another team in need of a win I wouldn’t want to play the Detroit Lions.
Is this accurate? If so, that’s something. Both of those conditions are reasonable. I’ll eat my hat if they find a way to win the division at this point.
It feels like the football gods kicked us in the balls. They got a freaking onside kick. The nfl basically made the rules so thats virtually non-existent.
