Yeah, I didn’t realize in real time that he was engaged by a blocker when he made that hit. Pretty wild.

Ben Johnson definitely has a couple of plays drawn up for him where he’s faking as a lead blocker.
I’m fine with him not getting much usage, he’s new to the RB position and killing it on special teams so he’s doing just fine for now.

Think I rewound that play a dozen times last night. 1 arm dedicated to the blocker, the other arm and shoulder driving the ball carrier backwards. Grit!

Before the game, I got to thinking this is the perfect week to showcase Vaki for the first time. Then his name isn’t mentioned during the game and I forget all about him. I understand Moseley because, truthfully, I don’t think he will do anything. For Vaki though, reliable ST presence is great, but I want more.
I think Vaki has an issue and it is called Jefferson

Him and Reynolds each looked good! Jefferson darn near scored on that first possession! Even Robinson caught a critical 3rd down ball up the sideline. Offense is loaded throughout that roster. Defense - not so much.
