So, if you are the Lions do you want to sign Brown to an extension prior to Vikings completing the Jefferson extension? Granted I don’t they can do so til after this season but you know the Jefferson deal is going to reset the WR market, again.

Whenever he gets paid, he will be the highest paid WR in nfl history. The dude has been sensational, what a steal getting him late in the 1st round by Spielman’s brother. 3 WR’s were taken ahead of Jefferson. In 50 career games, he has 4825 yards receiving, almost averages 100 yards per game. Wild!

This is a bad move by them IMO. There are some guys you know you’re gonna pay already. With those I think it’s better to get it done ASAP to show your own guys love. That is if you have the cap situation to handle it. Sends a bad message otherwise.

But can they? I am terrible at reading/comprehending these salary cap things as I know they can be manipulated all day long.

What’s interesting is that they didn’t sign Stefon Diggs either who was a stud for them and traded him to the Bills. Can’t imagine they would trade Jefferson, but I didn’t think they would trade Diggs either.

True but even by then we heard the rumors of Diggs being something of a diva. I haven’t heard a peep about Jefferson being anything other than an ideal teammate.

Yea Vikings must have some serious cap issues. Jefferson is not only the best WR in the game imo, but he might be the best player in the league. Dude is an absolute stud.

Seriously like what’s he going to get if he hit free agency!? 35-40 mill per season? Could be the biggest non QB contract ever I think, Vikes gotta try to lock him down long term.
They need the money to sign overpaid TEs.

I would love love love love to see Jefferson off the Vikings and out of the division. All due to cap management issues. I don’t miss those days at all.
The Vikings GM is definitely an interesting story. He’s making a lot of moves and pulling a lot of levers. Curious to see how it works out.
