That offense looks pretty stacked….

Jennings got $8 million base deal, with up to $13 million if incentives are hit.

I will call it now, just like 2 years ago the Vikings are our real competition for the division.

I hate that they signed Jennings, it’s not just that he’s a 3rd down stud, but he’s also a bully of a blocker. Just a really good fit in that unit and a major upgrade.

And for all the jokes about Kyler - and they’re great, keep 'em coming - he’s easily the most successful ‘reclamation project’ KOC has brought in to date. There’s a world out there where a year from now we’re talking about him as a top 10 QB. Absolutely within the range of outcomes.

I tend to agree with you. Was really hoping they would lose Flores. I think the Packers and Bears are sub .500 team this year. Bears have a very tough schedule and the Packers just don’t seem all that tough to me.

Josh Reynolds type signing for them… Kyler is baaaaad under pressure, let’s hope baby legs continues to disappoint and prioritize video games over film study

Kyler has always relied on his natural abilities and physical tools which worked in college but isnt working in the pros. Unless Kyler changes who he is and his approach to the game, he’ll never reach his potential.

Teams don’t put “study” clauses into a contract unless its already a problem.

Key Aspects of Kyler Murray’s Work Ethic:

  • The “Study Clause” Controversy (2022): Murray faced criticism after a 5-year extension with the Arizona Cardinals included a clause mandating 4 hours of independent, “undistracted” study per week. The team removed this clause following public backlash and Murray’s defense of his work ethic.

He might never reach is potential as the #1 pick, but I think he could still be very, very good. Better than anyone KOC has had thus far.

Honestly I think the main thing he can change is actually giving af.

Yep, the only thing holding him back is himself.

Unless he changes that, he’ll be a bottom half QB.

Well he’s already had a couple of years of being a top 10 QB, and that was on a bad roster with bad coaching. I think he could be a monster statistically even without changing that, I just don’t think he’ll take a team very far in the playoffs without changing that.

But I was one of the few who said at the time that we’d rue the day McCarthy got hurt and forced them to start Darnold, and I think Murray is 2-3X the QB Darnold was when he first got to Minnesota. Yes, he improved, but via the same path Murray will now get to take - by playing for KOC.

I could end up being wrong or he could get hurt again, but if I had to bet I’d say he’ll be VERY good there. Like Darnold he may not get them over the top, but I think they’ll win a lot of games. Plus it’s an even year, they always win a lot of games during even years then miss the playoff the next. That’s their pattern under KOC.

I think both Kyler and Jennings are pretty bad locker room guys in different ways. KOC seems pretty good at keeping at the clubhouse together but it’s a big departure from Darnold who every human being that meets him absolutely loves.

Kyler for sure, though I suspect you’ll get him on his best behavior for a while, free from the shit show that is Arizona. I don’t know as much about Jennings character-wise, but his effort is certainly excellent. Guys like that you can usually work with, though you may have to spend some effort keeping them happy.

Opposite issue. Kyler is aloof and disinterested at times. Jennings has gotten in physical altercations with teammates. He absolutely cares but doesn’t respect lines of decorum and professionalism that most players do. That’s the book at least.

And we’re wrapping up the division by end of week 15. We’ll win it by three games and two LaFleur aneurisms.

One of my favorite players in the league. This is an excellent signing for them.

IMO the Vikings will be right there in the end. I expect the Bears to fall back.
