Iāll bet he is
Tyrique Stevenson is a 2023 2d Rd pick, No. 56 overall.
One would expect better than for him to make such a boneheaded play. A lower level player would probable be cut, but because of his draft pedigree, he wonāt be.
Former Lions K, Austin Seibert, leads the NFL with 88 points.
Heās on a pace to pass David Akers all-time record of 166.
Whereās Liohey, he beat me in the Den Keeper League with that play.
Vomitous.
He missed the most important one badly though. It was blocked, but it was such a low line drive not sure it would have gone in anyway.
Seibert should send Tyrique a gift basket for bailing him out.
Ha, I mean for as dumbass as that play was, he made it back into the scrum in plenty of time. Unless he was supposed to be the guy in charge of the backwards tip (and Iāve read it was a different guy), he wasnāt the reason they lost.
But someone was supposed to stay with the tip receiver. Thatās Hail Mary defense 101. One guy stays with the short receiver in case itās tipped forward, which they did. Two guys to try and bat it down, and one guy to stick with the tip receiver in case itās tipped backwards. Someone forgot their assignment.
I stand corrected.
Honestly even if itās true, Dan would NEVER throw a player under the bus like this.
Instant karma. Mock the fans, disrespect the game and your team, run over, jump up and tip the ball up and back, so the opponent has an easy catch.
I really liked him in the draft too, I bet the Lions sniffed out his poor character and took him off the board.
I liked him too. And honestly heās been great for them on the whole. But if he doesnāt fit our locker room ethos, then he doesnāt fit. Cāest la vie.
Well, they took Sam LaPorta at No. 34 and traded up for Brian Branch at No. 45, so I donāt think he was really ever an option.
I donāt think he was an option bc he seems to be a mental turdā¦ And no one expected Branch to be there at 45
Hey, accountability is paramount. I could absolutely see Dan doing this. Let me ask you this; could you see Parcells answering honestly? Shoot, he might roast Stevenson publicly worse that Twitter.
Oh heād ensure accountability, but not publicly. Behind closed doors. The guy would know through and through how bad he screwed up.
Watching the episode of Inside the Draft Den Edition, the Lions seemed to think he might be there after taking Laporta at No. 34 and talked about him as he fell down the board.
