So I was going through the replay of the Lions Vikings game and came across this fiasco in our favor. This was the 4th and 1 run by Gibbs in the first quarter. Oops
A simple red flag would have over ruled the ball placement anyway.
But, all the ball has to do is be even with the 1st link of the chain.
I saw that and was curious but figured Vikings would challenge if there was an issue.
First of all that view is a bad angle and if it was down the line it was probably a 1st. 2nd I thought they screwed us on the spot so I’m good anyways.
Honestly does it even matter? If we lost that game nothing changes as far as I know.
From the video it looked like a good angle. But I agree, I thought they spotted us a little short.
Hell yeah, I want every win I can get.
Fair enough. After decades of losing more than we win I don’t blame you.
that’s what I thought too. I was amazed when they signaled first down given that camera angle, but then also the spot was terrible and if challenged, it was an easy first down. Maybe that’s what the ref was thinking
I was at the game and didn’t see how close it was.
I stand somewhat self corrected here. Re-watching the play, it does appear that the angle of the camera isn’t great. First Down Lions!!!
