There is just no predicting this stuff and what happened. What we need to do is look into the injuries and getting some analytics behind them. We are also 3 years into an almost complete rebuild. It is frankly amazing how quickly we turned this around. If you were going to complain I would understand more not using all of our cap space and not the trade deadline. It takes two to tangle.
Great post. Last season we were blessed with good injury luck, we didn’t lose any of our most important players for a long stretch, this season has balanced that out somewhat.

Lions have clinched a berth.
Injured players will be returning in time for the playoffs and during the playoffs.
Been a hell of season and watching this team fight through all the injuries has been rewarding.

I knew Holmes made a huge mistake when he didn’t trade for a new D-line, 2 LB’s, and a CB.

My main issue all along has been….
C Davis- missed 4 or more 4 years in a row, and never played 15 games once in 7 years
Davenport- missed 28 games over the last 2, and has played over 13 games once in 7 years!!!
Moseley- missed 50 games over the last 4 years…
Reader- has missed 25 games over the last 5 years.
Comish- has missed 31 games in the last 4 years.
Levi O- has missed 26 games in 4 years.
Iffy- has missed 31 games in 4 years
Paschal- has missed 15 games in 3 years
Rakestraw- has missed 6 games
The 4 drafted by the lions missed quite a bit of time in college and some were banged up at draft time…
Manu, Hooker, Vaki, Sorsdal, Bro Mart- these are 5 guys that were drafted without much expectation for significant snaps in year 1-2…. That’s 14 players based on draft capital usage and free agent dollars… should have been counted on for the 53, but based on their historic health-
That’s 28% of the game day roster that were optimistic to stay healthy.
I know injuries can’t be predicted, but patterns thus significant shouldn’t be ignored on this scale… not much different from Chark or CJGJ…?
Hutch, Mack, Monty, and AA losses suck and weren’t really predictable, and thus they are foundational pieces….
Thankfully the 14 above haven’t been given any long term or significant comp, but we still needed the bodies for the time being, and we haven’t really gotten the snaps…

He made several attempts to add more then one player from everything I heard. A few different trades fell through.
The problem I see with this post is 2 guys you named are actual starters Davis and Reader were the biggest loses.
