Are you telling me that the Bills… a team people love around here… played their #1 WR in a preseason game, and he got injured???
Campbell hasn’t played key starters in ANY season since being hired… so we have 6 years of NOT playing top players…
and people here blame all the injuries on his methods.
All of these other teams playing starters in preseason games must be idiots and the coaches should be fired!!!

I’m good with Dan not playing the majority of starters. However, he absolutely should have played mahogany and ratledge all last preseason. Resting vets I have no problem with. Holding out young players who absolutely need development reps just in case they get injured I disagree with. Sometimes you need to take that risk.
Damned if you do, damned if you don’t… Imagine if Tate got hurt in the preseason, this place would’ve exploded

Well they get hurt in regular season regardless. So yeah it doesn’t matter at this point. I mean mays got hurt in practice

That’s really the point though.
Injuries can happen in practice, preseason games, or regular season games.
Football is a contact sport.
Even without contact… there are non-contact injuries such as ACL tears that have nothing to do with the intensity of training camp.
Some people seem to overlook all of that.
The starting OL has not played a game together. The need to play at least a half a game to get some chemistry. This playing them for the first time in a game in the opener is Shit, and every year it shows
