Week 8 College Football

Looking forward to IOWA playing the Gophers today in Minny, we usually have more fans at their home games than they do.

There’s a Detroit Lions flag flying on College Gameday in Utah today. Love it. :american_football:

I can’t stand PJ Fleck, let’s go Iowa

I rather like him, as long as he’s in Minny ā€œFloyd of Rosedaleā€ lives in Iowa City.

Crazy that both Minnesota and NW have a better record than UM right now…

I guess everyone’s just done with college football? Is there another thread I’m missing? I figured this would be fervent given the way the Michigan game just ended.

people are checked out with the team rn i think

All the Michigan chat was in the 2026 Michigan Football thread

Got it, I don’t see that one, I guess my settings are blocking it somehow. I just assumed it was happening here the way it seemed to most weeks.

Everyone seems pretty done with football in general honestly …

Which is strange since it was like mid October when it first happened and Lions are still good.

I don’t blame anyone tho

Every plays ends in either

A- injury
B- flag
C- Review

If I don’t bet I don’t watch.

I’ll go back and scim through some prospects eventually on dvr but that’s about it

The Sellers Hype Train is going faster and faster everyday again

I haven’t watched much college football outside of Oklahoma State for a long time, so I get it, but now that I’m in a college fantasy league I pay more attention. I ā€˜follow along’ more than anything else. But I will go back mid-week to watch draft prospects.

He just keeps pulling you back in.

I’m only interested if he’s very cheap… and who knows maybe he will be.

hes likely a day 2 pick as of now.

The Hype and Aura (The Intangibles and Physciality) is just too much upside for some team to not take a day 2 gamble on.

If your like… the Falcons, its a massive upgrade over Tua, and he could replace Penix if he doesnt work out. Needs to sit, but Sellers in a Stefanski offense would be beautiful.

It’s getting more & more difficult to appreciate, because it is no longer an amateur sport. The entire NIL/transfer portal has made the smaller D1 programs talent farms for the major programs. No such thing as roster depth because of all the comings and goings. Mix in gambling and very questionable officiating, and it’s just become a cesspool.

The tools have always tantalized, but QB is probably the least tools-heavy position in the league. You just have to hit the minimum thresholds. Once you hit those thresholds traits can push a guy even higher like Josh Allen, but the traits alone aren’t enough (Fields, AR, etc…)

Ummm speak for yourself

I’m all in, BEST time of year

True, but his peak he can play QB at a pretty high level, but 3 OC’s in 3 Years, plus Beamer as his HC.

Its basically Baker in a way, having like 8 OC’s in 9 years hurts development

Glad to hear it buddy cheers :clinking_beer_mugs:

He’s flashed for sure, and certainly being in a more stable environment wouldn’t hurt. But that’s true of all QBs. I’m not saying he can’t hit, but history isn’t on his side at this point. He’d definitely be an outlier.
