🔊 Welcome To The Court Of The Crimson King

Incredible these guys wrote this song (Head over heels) at 24 years old! I was 5 years old when this song came out in 1985, but had a teenage sister in High school, so this was the first music to touch my ears. Police, Madonna, U2, Depeche Mode…on and on. As I grew older and started to play and learn music…I would travel back to 80’s music and Tears for Fears always stood out.

I thought Joey Ramone’s solo album was stellar. Not a bad song on it. He died before it was released. Pretty heavy lyrics as he writes about dying and the meds he was on.
Listen to his drummer on Mr. Punchy. Sounds just like Keith Moon.

@ the 07:51 mark- Maria Bartiromo what a great song.

His guitar player was his engineer on this album. What a freaking solid Gibson Les Paul sound he rings out of that fuzzed, set-up.

Great video, not sure I would be in for an entire concert but that was really good.

Nice and surprising. Was expecting a cover of Poco’s “Spellbound”.

The Kid Genius. Came up with his unique sound and style before he was 17 years old. He then started touring the world with his mates at 17.

Greta Van Fleet is my favorite band currently.

I know everyone wants to write them off and call them copycats but holy shit they put out good music over and over again.

Listen to the new album without any bias and a free mind… and you won’t regret it IMO

And Michigan Lads

Old room mate E Scott Esbeck playing bass for Charlie at the Opry. Not his first time, first time was with “Sweethearts of the Rodeo”.

I’ve long said that Frank Zappa is my favorite artist. Then it’s a fifty-way tie for second. Always trying to get more people to explore this artist vast library and styles. I came across this flow chart that might help in going a certain direction.

Noticed that one of my favorites of his was omitted.

File this under “Heavy Blues”.

Been jamming this song for two straight days. I can only imagine that Mark Knopfler wishes he wrote this song.

Can someone help me with the chords at 1:35 - “I just want to say…”?

It goes D - B - G…and then I lose it. I refuse to look up chords, but I’m ok with a group project. Help a brother out.

Dmin - C - Am - F (verse)
C - G - A - G - F (end verse)
is how I’ve been playing it

BONUS: Mark Masse nails the cover!

EDIT:

Found it! It was Emaj - the ghost chord my brain could not figure out

Dm - C - Am - F (verse)
C - G - A - G - F (end verse)

D - Bmin - G - E - A - F (Bridge)

Fun song to play for all the musicians out there!

Teddy, he’s got something here…

Just stumbled across this and not entirely sure what it is. But the best concert I ever went to was Linkin Park.

This will get the blood pumping. The lyrics are comical when you look them up.

Was listening to some Bill Evans, Larry Coryell…Chet Baker and just kinda floated into some “Yes”. Man they did some good stuff.
