Kitselman is supposed to be a plus blocker. It’s not that the Lions are ignoring that type. They’re just showing restraint with the degree of resources used for that type of guy.

If we’re talking about the starter/s going down, no position is thinner than QB.

Definitely not down with carrying 3 QB’s on the roster. A guy for the PS is fine. Teddy is fine as a backup. JG isn’t close to retirement, so QB is peachy IMO. You lose your starter it’s game set match anyway.

Long term, I agree. For a few games? Nah. Willis kept GB afloat last year. Cooper Rush kept Dallas afloat, Tyrod multiple times, Flacco, on and on. I honestly don’t know that Teddy could do that for us beyond maybe one game where we took the D by surprise, but then I probably think he’s a much worse player currently than pretty much everyone else in here.

Some times what a team does in FA and the draft is a pretty good indicator on where the roster/players are at…

We brought in multiple cheap/stop gap safeties and no draft picks. We brought in a cheap/stop gap TE and no draft picks. Does that not indicate or set off signals to anyone stating we need more help in these areas? Because for me, it indicated that the guys who are running the show aren’t too worried. Hell we traded up for a WR5…why would we do that if Laporta wasn’t going to be healthy in 2026?

Let it go…our TE room is pretty damn solid. From a team building standpoint our guys have proven to know what they are doing. Not to mention TE/S are wayyyy down the list or position importance. If you were going to be weak in some areas, this might be #1 & 2 to be weak at. This topic should be over…

And I will add that I think it is quite possible a 6th OL player may be TE4 for more snaps than we saw last season. With Borom and possibly Frazier… there are good options to have a 3rd OT on the field to play bully ball. Am I right @Mr.Peabody

I hope they ask him if he had offers with any guaranteed money from other teams. Maybe he’s confident or maybe the Lions said they’ll add him after the first game. Brad makes all his dollars holler.
