I don’t ever recall us doing a full poll asking this question, so I thought it might be fun to document this somewhere on this board.
Anyone that’s been here for a while or read any of the college gameday threads probably knows many of the answers to this question already, but again, I thought it might be cool to officially document it.
You can vote more than once, because I know some of us support more than one team for various reasons. I’m also going to try and explicitly add every team that I know for sure is represented here by at least one of us.
When I was younger I used to enjoy watching Florida State also. That was mid to late 90s. I don’t really have a second team I pull for any more. I suppose it depends who’s playing.
I’m first and foremost a CMU fan, though I don’t really care about college football, or college sports, all that much. If another Michigan team is having a good season, I’ll cheer for the state to do well. Otherwise, I don’t really care.
I put UM and MSU because I have family connections to those schools.
There are others:
Central Michigan University. (Alma Mater)
Fire up chips!
GVSU (family ties)
Ferris State (Family ties)
Western Michigan (Family ties)
Kendall College of Ferris State (no, no sports teams, but didn’t want to make anyone feel left out…)
I don’t have one. The company i work for has lots of Longhorn fans due to HQ being close. I suppose i should pick a team as i quite enjoy some of the games that are now televised over here.
As a long time Austin-ite, that proximity to UT fans should push you AWAY from rooting for them. The stink of their superiority complex is potent. Plus they’ve ruined two perfectly good conferences (I’m hoping for a 3rd at this point).
