hello @eabra48463 , I’ve been here over twenty years, I know “they’re not going to throw players under the bus.” that thought is an ancient belief. I also know that Dan is going to say things without really letting opponents know a damn thing, that’s common sense 101, It’s going to be rather dry and about things many of us fans already know and have been touching on before. that said -the times Dan gets behind the podium have become quite boring “to me” as what I’ve mentioned three different times in total in the similar threads on this.
Honesty, integrity, and authenticity never get old to me.
neither does winning. Winningest coach in the NFL, over the last 3+ years, if I’m remembering correctly

there is a bit of a trend with this team. Obviously they are MUCH better than they used to be but they seem to look like shit right around the time we think they should be over that.
the minny game we were relatively healthy, really. Not to mention the secondary isn’t the problem they are still playing well.
it’s really weird. Multiple times we just look like we aren’t ready to play a football game, and I don’t understand that because it seems dan runs a pretty tight ship with prep etc.

And after every loss we win the next game since 2022 so his coaching seems not too bad

The offense has steadily gotten worse over the last four weeks. We are not improving.
Well, without him, we are the 2nd most winning team…So Far!

The team just doesn’t look like it did over the past couple of seasons. It’s much different than how they played even a few years ago, when they missed the playoffs, but still were a formidable team by the end of the season. They played with a reckless abandon and tenacity then that doesn’t seem to exist now. There are a few players that still show that energy, but most of the team doesn’t–not consistently anyway.
The same reckless abandon that left half over half of our 2024 starting defense on the IR?

Is the team healthy now? You think how they play caused the injuries? Nonsense.
He has always done that. Last year, when a reporter would ask Dan questions about inadequacies on defense, and what the team had to do…he would address the offense, and what the O needed to do. This year, he’s doing the same for our defense. Until the OL gets healthy, the Defense is our strength, and how we WILL win.
I love this guy so much. Total “team first” coach, and no excuses, playing complimentary football, next man up. These are the principles by which the brotherhood (Lions) adhere to and play by…live by…WIN by!
From now on, I’ll be calling him “THE Dan,” instead of Dan.
