They are definitely bringing in a veteran to compete. I get the whole thing about a rookie QB contract but man I wasn’t a huge fan of what they did in FA.

Neither Sam nor Daniel would be gone if KOC wanted them to stay. He’s president of the JJ fan club. Atleast he was when the decisions were made. (Draft jj, let sam and jones walk)

Minnesota spent the most cash in free agency in the NFL this past offseason. It has one of the oldest rosters in the league. (Can you imagine trading a 4th and 5th round pick for the corpse of 35 year old Thielen who was a healthy scratch today?)
They are WAY, WAY over the cap in 2026. Hockenson, Harrison Smith, Center R. Kelly, RB Aaron Jones, DT Hargrave, and possibly Edge Greenard are likely to be gone.
WR Addison won’t be given a big new deal due to multiple suspensions and Jefferson is understandably upset about the QB play.
There is no QB on roster who can be counted on in 2026.
Oh, and Flores does not have a contract for next season.
It is likely to get worse, way worse, in Purple land before it gets better. SKOL.

They had two good QB’s on the roster last year, and, traded both away, and, kept JJ.

Some Lions fans lost their mind when we gave Brock Wright his current contract…even though we literally matched another teams offer. Brock’s cap hit last year was $1.8M…this year its $4.9M…next year its $2.8M.
The Vikings have a backup TE who doesn’t catch the ball with a $10M cap hit for 2026 and 2027. Ouch.
