What if Brad doubles down on D Line?

What if Brad decides to double down on the D line. Would everyone be okay with a Faulk/Parker first round and someone like the falling Banks in the second? Or maybe a Jacas? How would everyone feel?

Yes. I would feel good if we doubled down on either OL or DL.

To me getting the offensive line back to elite has to be priority 1. We have too many weapons to be derailed again by an average line. I’m hoping McNeil returns to form and growth from Williams will have a bigger impact pass rushing. Add a second round defensive end to pair with a first round tackle and I’d be happy with our draft.

In mock drafts I concentrate on finishing the OL with an OT as the value is there (never a reach pick) AND the OL is then deep and talented.

Past that I add a DT and TWO edge guys every mock. There are a # of edge guys I like in each round.

Def wins championships. I think lions have their other starting tackle for this year already. I wouldn’t be pissed if he took two dl or two oline

I can’t see them not picking a ot in the first two rounds. Seems like it lines up for us with a pretty good tackle class this year.

I would shit kittens

Risdon said he’s hearing the lions are taking alot of looks at developmental tackles in this draft. Give me the best OL or DL prospect in rounds 1 and 2 and I’m good either way. I really do think the defense has got to be addressed though.

That’s what has me wondering if they go two d linemen early with a developmental RT in 4 or 5.

I see no reason why we can’t trade down in the first and still get a RT like Miller or Iheanachor. Then 2 DL. I think Moore and DDS are the last 2 DEs that can be expected to contribute significant snaps this year and they will certainly be gone on day 2. For me if Banks or Christen Miller is there in round 2 I just throw need out the window and take them.

If you can’t get your OT in Round 1 or 2, going developmental on Day 3 is a good Plan B.

I think taking two DE’s is a real possibility. I am not against Faulk per se, but he is a 3 year development kind of guy who we would be hoping becomes a 8-9 sack per year player. Lions need a DE who hits NOW as their window dictates it NOW. If we took him 3 years ago then sure…..but now the window is NOW and we can’t wait.

I think in order of priority in the first it is:

DE

Secondary

OL.

Who would you take at DE @QBHATER90?

No idea. I have been MIA from football for 9 months. And tbh, I’d be worse then Millen or Quinn at picking talent.

I want talent from the draft. If we double down, so be it. But get talent in here.

I would also offer that I prefer to be risk averse in the first couple of rounds. But once you get to round five, I like picking athletes

I’m all for a small trade and netting more Defensive picks.
