I love it up there! Been trying to get in at a large food manufacturer in area for last few months so I could live there.

I go to a cabin twice a year in Hocking Hills it’s beautiful down that way.

Hocking Hills is a pretty cool place. I would definitely suggest a trip to Columbus zoo and Hocking Hills for a long weekend getaway that’s within reasonable driving distance from Detroit.

I print your business cards and marketing needs :+1:

Teach near Lancaster. Live in Pickerington

That’s pretty close to where I teach.

Lucky you I s great down there.

Pretty close their neighbor.

Recently retired home builder and home improvement specialist. Still doing kitchens, but just dealing with past customers and friends mostly. It used to be fun, the public pretty much sucks these days so not unhappy to be out of it. I’m a good resource for information if anyone has questions about their homes. I’ve worked as an inspector in the building dept for the City of Des Moines and was on the mechanical board for the city I lived in and did code reviews for several years. My biggest accomplishment in life has been remaining friends with most of my customers and even built 3 homes for the same couple over the years. Grandfather settled in Detroit after leaving Denmark. Dad was a fan of all Detroit sports and passed the curse on to me. I told my children to pick other teams and true to form they didn’t listen to a word I said. Life is good, I’ve always traveled a lot, even selling my car in college so I could spend the summer in Europe. No regrets.

I am now a mailman.

Before that worked in the restaurant industry for 15 years. I actually ran all the private bars and club for the Palace of Auburn Hills and DTE / Pine Knob. Worked there from 03’- 15’

Got sick of the late nights and irregular and left the industry completely and became a mailman.

Where? My wife and her whole family have been in the business for generations.

The first thing I did when I retired was to go to work part time bartending at a community theater in the Amana Colonies, The Old Creamery Theater. Bartended in college and it was the reason it took me over 8 years to graduate, WAY too much fun. They closed w/i months, covid, and aren’t opening back up. Too bad, they had been around for maybe 40 or 50 years. For me it was always more fun than work.

Vistaprint. Been there for 15 years now. A little different than your ordinary print shop, but I get to work with top of the line consoles!

Curious if the Vistaprint you work for has HP printers? I’m a transportation manager for HP and I have been involved with shipping printers and supplies to Vistaprint in Canada.

Yup thats the one. It’s located just outside Windsor.
Can’t even count the amount of HP digital presses we have within the plant.
I’m an old school guy though. Running Heidelberg and ManRoland sheet fed offset presses myself. After all these years of digital presses gaining steam in technology, these offset presses still can’t be beat.

There is something special about the service industry. It’s not for everyone but I loved it.

I absolutely loved the job. Name an NBA player I probably met them. Any musical act as well. So many good stories with or about celebrities. My highlight was definitely being there for the 04 championship.
