I have wanted Rex Ryan in the org. for like four years. Though his son is no longer here so I’m not sure that we hold the appeal to him that we used to.

Would be nice if DC would hold his defensive coordinators to the same accountability as he does offensive coordinators.

Shep is only in year 2. Who is to say that he doesn’t move off of him by week 10 if this continues. Last year the D had been pretty good up until about week 10 or so. There was no reason to fire him last year. Whether one year should have been enough is a separate question.
I think we are jumping the gun here. Let’s give Shep some runway to figure things out here. It was a four day turnaround against perhaps the league’s best offense after having played 90 defensive plays.
Wouldn’t shock me if we see an inspired defensive performance next Sunday.

Week two Thursday night games are asinine and I know we really don’t know what we are going to be until we play a few more games……but the last 6 quarters and OT have been inexcusable on defense.
It’s a miracle we’re 1-1 honestly. Again, I never expected a win in Buffalo. But that second half of the Saints game was some of the worst defensive football we’ve seen around here. I’m not sure if Shepp is trying to be to exotic with his calls and coverages but guys seem to be clueless.
Even the 4th and 12 late in the game against the saints. They had 3 time outs and never even considered punting the ball because they knew we couldn’t stop them and they were right. We drive the field and get a TD in OT and the Saints never even flinched and responded. It’s shocking we stopped them on the two point play.

yep we should be 0-2. NO had some slightly off passes and drops in the first half on wide open WRs.
We have a top 10 offense. And quite possibly the worst defense in the league. Even branch and joseph ain’t gonna completely cure that. I watched several plays with the bills and 3 WRs were wide open.

Richard Sherman - I think this guy needs to be a coach. Former player and champion with high level communication skills. He’s needs to coach, whether it be little league or the pros. Waste of talent with a mic in his hand.
Anyone else get visions of Patricia’s final year here with the guys in man chasing their guys all over the field while Josh Allen gashed them on the ground, running on their heels? So Patricia-esque.
I don’t like Brad’s roster construction, but there’s more ability than what is on currently on display.

Against the Saints they got back in the game making spectacular catches. There were at least dudes guarding the receivers and guys blasting the quarterback
There was none of that last night. Outside of a few Hutch plays and Alim rushes, Josh Allen didn’t break a sweat

I think he loves Shep, as a man, and also as a leader of men.
Doesn’t seem to be very good at adjusting, though… in decisions aren’t great, and we’re looking predictable in my opinion
Love that we air on the side of being aggressive, and I do support a high risk high reward style defense… No question that Kirby Joseph would make a difference… No question that branch will make a difference
Learning on the job is bad for any coordinator. The Lions are always the guinea pigs though

I’d love Schwartz but he resigned and still had 2 years on his contract, so that would have to be worked out with Cleveland somehow.
