What purpose does Mike Tannenbaum serve on ESPN?

Every time this whale opens his mouth, he says some of the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard. Not ONCE has he ever had a good idea or a good point in conversation or in writing. I really wonder what the ■■■■ the point is of having people on their programs who clearly add no actual value whatsoever.

Like, this morning, he’s going through his “concerns” with quarterback prospects on Get Up. His concern for Carson Beck was: “Carson Beck has the ability to be a starter but he has ball security issues.”

My grandma could figure that out Mike.

What else?

Oh yeah. This was his doing:

And he’s not only bad when talking about the Lions. He’s bad when talking about literally anybody…

You can go and find plenty of articles trashing his dogshit takes. I’m not going to go and find them myself because this idiot isn’t worth my time.

He sucked ass as a GM for two separate teams, allowing our very own Dan Campbell to leave Miami after he served as interim head coach in 2015. He got fired twice for being grossly incompetent. Now he sits on YOUR television screen wasting your time by simply talking…because nothing he talks about is worth the time you waste listening to it.

Anyway, I’m just really pissed off this morning that programs like ESPN manipulate their programs for ratings instead of to actually talk about good ideas in sports. Whatever. Mike Tannenbaum needs to be fired and taken off my television.

Tanenbaum could come in very handy, if they ever need to sing the German version of “Oh Christmas Tree”

He should be giving us insights that only someone behind the curtain would be able to give us and he’s just a hot take machine

Guys like him are the reason I stopped watching ESPN. They just have to say shit because they are on everyday and there’s really not that much to talk about. I much prefer watching podcasts and specifically for the Lions it’s Rogers, Risdon and Pouncy.

He serves the same purpose as all of them nowadays, say ridiculous stuff to get people to post about them on a message board.

It’s crazy he was even hired by them…. considering he was an absolutely terrible GM.

I can assure you that this is not a problem that I have.

I don’t consume media I don’t enjoy. You shouldn’t either.

To be fair, if you are a good GM the networks never have a chance to hire you.

This cut deep, I thought you were describing me every time I say something on the Den

Bill Polian was a good GM for quite a while, and then worked for ESPN.

He definitely struggled later in his career, and was also a terrible TV personally. Perhaps ESPN just should avoid former GMs.
