Look up, “Steak DeBurgo”, it’s a staple from Des Moines. Two schools, one with a cream sauce, the other is with oil or butter. For me, I use olive oil AND butter. Melts in your mouth good. I used to have a friend/chef from Des Moines come to my place and make it for me and several friends, we called it, “Man Night”. I paid the freight for Marty, the food and a round of golf where we lived, the boys brought outstanding reds. After several years the women insisted on being part of it, it was never quite the same.

We bought a whole pig from our local Amish butcher last fall (raised by himself) and the amount of fat on everything was incredible. Definitely keeps the chops and steaks super moist, but still learning how best to do the hams.

Yea I’ve added a new client and he has me traveling nationally again, so will definitely try them.
One place I found that I fell in love with is Meddlesome Moth, great beer, 40 taps, and bourbon. Didn’t get to the food menu

I made spaghetti last night. Browned hamburger (I usually do half ground pork, but didn’t have any on hand), with some garlic and onions. After draining simmered with some canned tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, bay leaf, sugar, and wine. The noodles I used were the whole wheat one’s form Costco. It turned out pretty good.

Hey guys, I’m doing intermittent fasting until noon today and you’re making me hungry.

I’ve been grinding up whole San Marzano tomatoes for all my cooking needs. It is a little bit of a game changer with pizza sauce and creamy tomato basil soup.

I fast everyday i eat between 12pm-8pm.

Fasting to me is the best way to live. It’s a great way to lose weight and stay fit, reduce any inflammation, and just generally feel better. When I fast I have more energy and I’m less tired.

At 10.99 it was undoubtedly American Wagyu - which is still excellent for burgers. A burger might be a waste of true A5 Wagyu, and it def would be more than $11. Last time I was in Mackinac Isl, I saw a $30 Wagyu burger, but could not bring myself to order it.

Wow, really? When I fast, my workouts are nowhere near as good. I feel like I’ve been through the ringer after a workout while fasting.

I guess I haven’t correlated the performance of my workouts while fasting. But in general, that is how I feel when I fast. I guess everybody’s different too so who knows? I just know it works for me.

So I just started fasting again about a week ago and just as a for instance, I was up last night until 1 o’clock vacuuming out the couch. I’m usually in bed between 930 and 1030. Can’t really remember the last time I was up till 1 o’clock. I typically fall asleep within a minute of my head, hitting the pillow, but just couldn’t shut it down yesterday. I’m working only at about four hours of sleep today and feel great.

That is really all that counts!
Its really a game changer when you finally figure out that being hungry once in awhile is not a bad thing.

Keto reduces inflammation. Big time. Not sure where that info is from but, uhh, no.

I pretty much am 8pm to noon /1pm next day on Fasting.

It seems to have no effect on my workouts, mostly because I don’t work out

You know you’re right, carbs cause inflammation. I guess I really didn’t think about the article other than it confirmed with the above poster.

Yeah i used to work out and try to get my 10k steps in for the day, but after my dads passing ive been lazy about it.

Man, you’ll feel better if you start doing it. Just gotta put on your shoes and take that first step. The rest takes care of itself.

Plenty of articles and my thyroid numbers went wack when I did the keto, got another blood test a month later and all was well. I used to keto in January along with no drinking, worked well to lose the holiday weight and stabilize me for the most part. I take generic synthroid.

As I think about it, just spit balling, I can’t eat grapefruit a long with Simvastatin and they both do the same thing.
