When I watched the play live I thought the Hutch hit was legal and Alim’s 2nd hit was late and worthy of a 15 yarder. Seeing it on replay you can see Alim was actually pushed into Stafford so that’s why I think the ref didn’t throw the flag.

I am surprised they let him back in the game. The ref couldn’t see his eyes from that angle but the league certainly could and should have communicated that down to the field.

Matt went to the tent after that play…but does anyone know for sure if they checked him for a concussion or not? He was also holding his shoulder so he might have went to the tent for that.
Can you “get your bell rung” without being concussed?
He definitely should have gone through concussion protocol.

I don’t remember where I saw it, but some ex-NFL players who played for the Patriots were talking about how Brady was trained to hold his arm like that if he got a concussion so nobody would know it was a concussion…and well…we’re were Patriots west there for awhile with Matty Patty and Quinn so I bet you he learned that trick from Brady or those guys.

One thing Patriots players were trained to do for years was to grab a random bodypart after they got knocked out. I suspected it for years, but recently it was confirmed. Matt did the same thing.

Kerby Joseph did the same thing after concussing himself on DK Metcalf. He tried playing off as a hip on the field, but it became the ankle on the sideline when he was trying to get back in.
