Replace Holmes (seems silly to me but some really don’t like him)
Replace Campbell (haven’t heard this really at all but part of the theme)
Replace Johnson (has he gotten predictable and less effective?)
Replace Glenn
Extend Goff at this current market value
Trade Goff while his value is high because the market is overvaluing him
Trade Jamo since we don’t use him the way some think we should
Sign a top DE FA (roughly 20-25 mil/yr)
Sign a top CB FA (15-20 mil/yr)
Sign a top DT FA (15-20 mil/yr)
Sign a few mid tier defensive pieces
Focus money on depth rather than starters
We have enough youth, trade our first for veteran. (money considerations)
Of the above list - things I’ve seen on forums/twitter ect have been mentioned. Some far more than others. Cap space is questionable with some of the contracts we have coming soon. 1 year deals probably aren’t going to get us the level of guys most people want. How would you approach this offseason?
To be fair, Twitter is full of trolls but it is pretty bad. Same on some article comments. But it still gets screamed after losses to teams like bears. So i included it.
Sign the very best DE available
1st round- Draft the best DT still on the board
2nd round- Draft the best OL on the board
Trade 3A and 3b for 2nd round pick then best CB on the board.
Generating a pass rush from the inside is something we seriously lack, and Jones brings that as much as anybody in the league.
At the end of the day, we need to put pressure on the opposing QB, and once the franchise tags get handed out, Jones will probably be the best pass rusher that is left.
Trade Goff. Go all in trying to sign Kirk Cousins. If you can’t land him acquire Zach Wilson, Daniel Jones or Davis Mills and they will compete with Hooker.
Look to trade Taylor Decker. He is aging and declining.
Re sign: Glasgow, Dan Skipper, CJ if price is right.
Upgrade: Kicker. Need a kicker who actually can make lengthy FGs.
Try to sign Mike Evans. Guy is a machine and a winner.
Need to make significant investments in: a DE, DT, 2 additional offensive linemen and CB.
Zach Wilson would open up the offense as he can move and make throws that Goff can’t make. Zach Wilson will be a starter for the next decade. Very good QB in a bad situation. He never complained he just does what he does, competes. I would take him over Justin Fields any day of the week for example.
