Why haven’t they had pressers? We got a Tyleik presser, but don’t we normally get EVERY pick at the podium within a day or two of being drafted?
Seems weird and I’m dying for Lions content.
Looking back at the YT channel, I guess we didn’t last year…but we did the year before. Weird.
If i remember right usually only the First or Second round picks had a press conference.
The rest were at rookie mini camp.
And this year the Lions are doing the later camp not earlier.

Isn’t our rookie minicamp usually much closer to the draft? I remember thinking May 9th felt way late, but I could be wrong about that.
Theres 2 weekends teams can hold Rookie Camp.
Today is weekend 1
Next week is weekend 2
Lions chose weekend 2 this year.
2023 was week 2 as well.
But 21, 22 and 24 were all week 1
Maybe it’s a changing of the tide?
We used to “win” during the off-season/draft, now we actually win games instead so the organization feels they no longer need to do the draft pressers?
Dont need the fake off season hype any more because there is real hype
Agreed, but winning teams already make the money they need to from ticket sales?
I’ve built up coping strategies over the years for the dwindling team activities and coverage after the draft. The only historical event that is comparable in deprivation is The Bataan Death March, but that’s just my opinion. I’m grateful for any squeak, any fart that comes out of Allen Park this time of year. Survival is the goal.
