I will be leaving work really whenever the hell I want because they all know better. Two hours beforehand? Doesn’t matter. Four hours beforehand? Doesn’t matter. In fact I don’t have to go but seems to be a waste not to.
And then I will be coming home, pre-gaming, showering, and putting on the same gear I’ve worn the last two weeks. Then watching it. Alone. I am just a guy who prefers to be alone. I don’t want to be around people and frankly they shouldn’t want to be around me.
My watch partner (father) passed in 2009. My mother out of the kindness of her heart, became the watch partner. Knows nothing about football but learned (a little anyway, it was more the sentiment). She passed in 2014.
It’s not sexy or exciting. But you asked the question and that’s my answer.
In Siesta key for the week so will watch on a 65" with the gulf in the background. Picking up some Sonny’s ribs and beans for the event. Probably better BBQ around but their beans are something else, and close to the condo rental.
Unfortunately (fortunately?) at a unfriendly sports bar at a resort in Panama. After the game I’ll either be a genius fan or that dumb SOL Lions fan for the rest of the week. Wish me luck brothers and sisters.
At home with my wife. There are a ton of great options to watch the game in my life and where I live. But I can’t stand watching Lions games around “casual” fans. So watching the game any other way has never even been a consideration. And my wife knows it.
