Let’s face it… the Lions are really good, and now the Pistons, Tigers, and the Masters have given us a few weeks of entertainment leading up to the draft…. We’ve seen the mocks, read the AI generated proposals, and run countless sims to see “who could or should be there” at each of our picks…
Let’s presume we stay put at #28, and thus the consensus-ish top 20 prospects are off the board…
Which 5 players (regardless of any perceived NEEDS) do you believe will be the mostly likely to be high impact pros… AKA future pro bowlers?
Mine-
M Williams
D Harmon
Grey Zabel
K Grant
J Higgins
I think any of these 5 guys are all going to be studs…
Last year I had pretty big draft crushes on G Barton, T Arnold, Jackson Powers-Johnson, B Fiske, K Jenkins and Jarrian Jones as guys in late 1-2…. Not all panned out but overall pretty decent.
I didn’t get into the draft t all tis year. Less of a concern - I guess I just trust them so what’s the point.
Last year, I had your first four. Never heard of Jenkins or Jones. I did have Verse and DeJean.
I’m kind of resetting at the moment, questioning my entrenched opinions. So yeah, I’m window-shopping again, swamped with info from The Beast and the other likely suspects.
Guys that I think could be really good in this draft tend to have high upside with some warts. But here you go, a list of five guys that I think could be Pro Bowl level players outside the top 20:
Bayshul Tuten RB VT. I think his game will translate well to the NFL. He is fun at the second level. Could be a great kick returner too.
Kelvin Banks Jr. and Donovan Jackson - similar in that both can play OG right away at a high level and eventually tackle maybe (Banks most probably).
Shavon Revel Jr. - definite upside here. downside is age, injury, and level of competition.
Jihaad Campbell or Mykel Willaims not sure which one I could pick definitively here. Both have some upside.
I would pick James Pearce, Jr. but man does he have a lot of character stuff swirling around him.
Honorable mention: Tyler Booker - he could definitely be pro bowl in the right system.
Why?
Character concerns or just a “he sucked at MSU and didn’t after transferring” thing? I really don’t know much about him at either place to be clear so truly curious what you’re basing this on.
Because Thats2 drives the draft discussion on this board. It’s honorable work that he does no doubt, but he has great influence on this board when it comes to the draft
