In the era of drawing the top 4 picks, the team who had the worst record has never fallen out of the top 3.
May 16th I believe
I hope it stays that way. We need more lottery juice like the Cade draft.
I’m going Wemby, Miller, Scoot, then who cares.
Yup, I just put down my order of how i think the picks go. Forgot I was susposed to put Pistons picks down. I agree, Miller at #2 to me is a much better fit for the Pistons as they’re guard heavy already and Miller fills a big need.
I agree with your assessment. Pistons have many guards, and many 5s, but need power forward & wing. Wemby obvious if #1 falls to them, Scoot, if truly next level, then a few guards will be out the door. Miller, though talented & position of need, looks like the NBA version of Jalen Carter. Not referring to talent here
One question with Wemby is his wheels holding up, i.e. Holmgren and Oden. Also, how lucky have we been with the Euro draftees? No names needed here.
I’m not worried about the European aspect of the equation. Everyone says he’s the best draft pick to come out in the last 10 years. This morning he was referred to Kevin Durant only 3 inches taller.
I do wonder about the injuries, but really, it seems it can be related to many taller thin guys: Durant, Dude from Lakers, guys you mentioned, etc. At times I think their athleticism can get them in trouble as it puts them in more positions for injury driving to the basket in traffic.
No way can you pass on a talent like Scoot. We are nowhere near drafting for fit yet. You draft for talent., we are still in BPA mode. Scoot is generational. Miller just another very good player. Scoot makes this offense hum. Cade is a slow PG - move him to the wing and let him bring the ball up 1/3 the time.

I will admit I don’t know a lot about Scoot, just what i read. They say he’s a very good PG. I have been impressed with Millar in his games. The injury to Cade really screws this up development wise. Would have been great to see if he can be a really good PG, or give him time at SF to see how that works. I’ve thought along your line of thinking so it’s not out of bounds at all. Let’s just hope we get Wemby.
Pretty sure Amen Thompson will go 4. Obviously Victor is a cut above but all of the next three are high end prospects.
The Lions have a chance to win as many games as the Pistons. lol
Chuck Daly
It would be fitting if the 1st time it happened was to the pistons
Victor and Scoot are 1/2. After that it’s variable.
NBA draft lottery ball pick thingie is tonight.
We gonna be driving a VW from France!
We:re going for that WebYourMamma guy
Exactly
So one of my good friends celebrate this day regularly. We dubbed it “Otis Day” because it was the day the Otis Thorpe trade marinated and finally resulted in us winning the number two lotto pick. Meme’s regularly made and sent. Of Course it is known that the pick number 2 was used on Darko sandwiched by Lebron, Carmelo, and Bosh.
This morning we have decided to rename it “Cade Day”. Happy Cade day everyone and good luck to the Pistons.
Dwayne Wade went 5th. It was pretty hard to screw up in the top 5 that year. It reminds me of the 1989 NFL draft when Troy Aikman, Barry Sanders, Derrick Thomas and Deion Sanders were 4 of the top 5 picks. The only screw up was at pick #2.
