Who Gets the Snaps in the Edge Rotation Now? (snaps & info for your review)

Z-man added and Josh back. How will that impact things with the rotation? Who gets dropped from action…who feeds?

I would guess
Paschal and Smith get 75%+ of the edge snaps.

Then rotate in Levi, Oconnor, Thomas and Houston for about 12% each.

Then McNeil gets 80% at the 3tech. Reader at 50% everyone else splits the rest

I doubt Smith plays much, he’s not had time to learn the full playbook. 30% is probably about right.

I hope we rotate more. I don’t like how we overplay guys. Keep them rotating. Keep them fresh. Only Hutch should be playing every snap.

Arggh! I took a screen grab from my system without Muhammed.

Here it is w/him included.

I’m not sure about that. Do defensive ends have a lot of playbook to learn? I’d see what you are saying if we were talking about linebackers or guys in the secondary. The trickiest thing might be stunt assignments. We’ll see soon enough I suppose.

You could be right.

Sorry I gave you incomplete info in my original post.

I would guess that 98% of the positional snaps go to
-Za
-Levi O
-J Pash
-Al-Q M

That’s a very respectable group, esp. considering 3 core players have been knocked out.

Early in the season they stuck with a pretty tight 4-man rotation. As can be seen here.

Right.
Say
LDE
60% Paschal, 25% Levi, 15% Thomas

NT
50%Reader, 30% Occonnor, 50% Levi

DT
65% McNiel, 25% Wingo, 10% Levi

RDE
50% Smith, 30% Houston, 20% PS player maybe Mo.

Yes…. Keep in mind we run a hybrid system.

My guess is he plays mostly on obvious passing downs something like 25% of the snaps makes sense.
