Who’s Going Worst to First in 2024?

Every year a team goes from 4th in the division to 1st. Last year it was Houston.

Who will it be this year?

  • CIN
  • ARZ
  • LAC
  • CHI
  • WAS
  • CAR
  • TEN
  • NE

Holy crap, I didn’t realize Cincy was 4th in their division.

The other 3 teams made the playoffs. But yea Burrow went down and it was game over for them

I got Washington, for no apparent reason except Chicago no way

And NFC East never has back to back winners

I like Cincy’s chances, but until they learn to protect Burrow, and Burrow shows he is over his prior injuries, my pick is Washington. Not because I think they will be good, but because I think they play in the worst division. Dallas is horribly thin and has serious drama. Philly also has drama and I am not convinced Siriani can coach or control his team. Giants still have Daniel Jones, and despite one of the worst offensive lines in history, took zero offensive lineman in the draft. Not exactly addressing needs there.

My picks from best chance to least:
Washington (terrible division)
Cincy (talented but also have Baltimore there)
Arizona (not sold on Murray, but NFC West is winnable)
Tennessee (has to deal with Houston, could be sophmore slump though)
Chargers (KC is getting weaker, but still should win the division. Harbaugh is building the right forumula to beat them, just has the wrong personnel right now)
Chicago (not sold on Williams at all. As a team they have talent, but I don’t think they have leadership and still have Detroit and Green Bay to catch)
New England (rookie QB and they have to deal with Miami)
Carolina (still a top down disaster)

Cincinnati gets Burrow back and the Ravens are due for some pretty extreme regression. I bet Cincinnati not only wins that division, but makes it to at least the AFC title game.

That’s actually pretty tough. I went with Carolina as you can’t discount any of the teams in that division, it is very mediocre. With that said, it wouldn’t be surprising if they picked in the top 5 next year.

Cincy is the smart pick, but that division is brutal and I think they still have some big questions marks. They did MVP play from Burrow to win that division, and even then they may not with Baltimore likely to win 12+ games.

Cincy is my choice for the most likely to go from worst to first.
They are an AFC Power that had a down year because of the loss of their Franchise QB.
The division is the best in football but that makes it easier as they have a 4th place schedule and it may take only 10 wins to win the division.

Unfortunately, Chicago is the next best team.
Talent is oozing from most every pore of that team after several bad years that led to early draft picks and suckering Carolina in trade.
It all depends on Caleb Williams.
If Williams has a Stroud type rookie season (highly unlikely), they could capture the North.
