I got literally none of that from what @HiFidelity said. What I got from his post was beware of the snake oil cures and online merchants that have an old timey recipe to cure a disease that has been uncurable for the existence of humanity.
If you don’t trust one doctor, get a 2nd opinion. If you don’t trust any doctors, enjoy turning blue.
And you don’t think this is a fairly dangerous thing to tell someone on the internet? That it “wouldn’t hurt”??
Do you know his wife’s complete medical history? Do you know if she is diabetic, or has any autoimmune problems, or other deficiencies that need to be considered? Do you really think it’s a good idea to put her immune system at risk by denying any and all nutrients for 5 days straight right now?
not to derail all of this, but I had to get Chemo treatments back in 1986, it was the most horrific feeling ever, felt like liquid acid going through my veins. I was 13, struggling with my brain tumor-not knowing if I’d live.
I have mentioned a supplement called sulforaphane that has powerful evidence-based anti-cancer properties. I take it daily with some brown mustard powder. There are no side effects. I think everyone should take it. I used to grow broccoli sprouts at home but decided to just buy the supplement.
Well maybe cured wasn’t the right word. But he’s off medication and his blood sugar levels are in the healthy zone. Call it whatever you want. But he feels like a new man.
No, I don’t think drinking water and intermittent fasting is dangerous. (if you are arguing that there is someone, somewhere in the world that is already malnourished and wouldn’t benefit from water/minerals, then yes, anything is possible)
I wish everyone good health. Can’t think of anything more important. And I’m getting a little concerned about my friend @Bols, hope he’s just on vacation or something.
Cruciferous veggies are the best thing you can eat. It’s an accident of nature. People always want to point to things the ancients ate and say we should be doing that. Maybe. Sometimes nature gives us gifts that are unexpected, and powerful. I expect we’ll be finding more compounds in nature that have amazing health properties.
Also, cruciferous vegetables are nature’s viagra, if anyone needs another reason.
I remember chatting with you about fasting and took your advice on the Noom electrolytes. Another hack is psyllium husk, which in water forms a gel and fills the gut for when the hunger feels overwhelming. I’m commited to dropping 20lbs in the next couple of months through a modified fasting regime.
Oh, I broke down in the hospital, I begged GOD SO hard for death-if the, Chemo, blood work, needles, CAT scans, MRI’s, months in the hospital was going to be the way of my life, I begged GOD to end me right then-when I lived? I wondered ‘why in thee F do I get to live-when Cancer took the lives of so many good people-even children? hell I asked what this life is for at least 100 times, ad age 52- I’m lucky If God let’s me wake up each morning….because-I didn’t just have my brain tumor, I had a heart attack in 2020, and a serious car accident, where my truck was totaled with me seatbelted inside and my truck rolled over 4 times when I got hit, (trying to go fishing)-instead I was put in an I.C.U. for a week. I figure I nearly died 3 times , and that is strike 3. I don’t want anymore health-scare BS.
I buy stuff where I am that probably isn’t available where you are. But one good test is to put your oil in the fridge and if it goes solid you’ve been ripped off. Shouldn’t do that. The rest is the taste test.
There has been a lot of fraud in the olive oil industry in recent years. A lot of the best stuff comes from Spain, but producers have been diluting it with cheaper oils and labelling it EVOO.
