USA just beat Senegal 3-2. That’s encouraging. I have pretty low expectations for the actual cup.
Not sure if anyone else here pays any attention to any of this. I’m an extremely casual fan myself. I watch the World Cup and Copa America and sometimes El Clasico and if Madrid is playing in the Champions League, and that’s about it.
Fifa the video game is addictingly good though.
Finally a football thread! 
I follow the World Cup. It’s the biggest single game tournament and getting bigger as more teams are allowed into the group stage.
Games played now are Exhibition and called friendlies so usually nobody gets injured. Still a good result for USA
First game is on Mexico on June 11th as a host nation. Canada and USA are also hosts.

Still not quite on their level yet though
USA has some solid attacking options but they are so poor defensively.
Croatian soccer is very fun to watch. Solid team that is always disrespected by the sports book.
