I refuse to accept, at this time, that Green Bay can move from one HOF QB (Favre) to another HOF QB (Rodgers) to a 3rd HOF QB in Love. Love also hasn’t proven he’s a tier 1 (Burrow, Allen, Mahomes, Jackson) QB as of yet.
The Packers also have a good young receiver room.
I attribute some of Goff’s struggles to OL injuries and Ben / Campbell being too cute at times.
No way do I want the Rams. Anyone but the Rams. Stafford’s playing good and they’ve won 6 of their last seven games. I’m a 50 year Lions fan. I remember watching them win their last playoff game and I hope they make a deep run, but I can just see Stafford winning his first playoff game in Detroit. I’ve held my enthusiasm in check all year expecting a return to “reality, same old Lions” shit. Now, when I actually want to get a little bit excited, I have to use some extra self discipline.
Honestly, it would suck to lose in round 1 in front of the home fans. And, for me, it would especially suck to lose to the Rams. But I definitely don’t “fear” the Rams or the Packers.
Tannehill had a 2 year stretch where he threw 60 TD’s and 13 Int’s, Love has 30 TD’s to his 11 int’s this year.
Tannehill was a very good QB, Love is not comparable yet.
Not sold on Love yet. He shows flashes but is still inconsistent. If he’s 75% of Aaron they will be tough since they finally have a good team all around.
This second half of the season the Packers have won games against so many teams with their wheels falling off and a good game against us and the chiefs. Theve had a cakewalk schedule, still losing to the giants and bucs. The rams have only lost 1 OT game against Baltimore. I think you are insane if you think Stafford is easier than Jordan love…
Exactly, that was not a major slight I was throwing to Love. Tannehill had 33 TD’s and 7 INT’s his 2nd year with the Titans. He didn’t scramble a ton, but he was athletic enough to move around well in the pocket and could take off for a decent gain if needed.
Some would argue he was a top 10 QB around that time. I think Love will be a fringe top 10 guy as well, but the majority of years he lingers in the 12-15 range.
Can’t wait until the Packers have to commit 50mil+ AAV to him on an extension.
I don’t think it matters, not after Saturday. I truly believe there isn’t an NFC team that wants any part of the Lions. They were already good. Now they’re good AND pissed off. Minnesota is going to get merc’d Sunday, and every other team will be like “oh… well, shit.”
