Would This Fix the OL?

I like Sean Rhyan some. He can play a lot of positions as well. Kinnard was another guy I liked coming out of the draft though. But his complications that you’ve mentioned and his just ok play would have me shy away personally.

I just meant at OT. I can convince myself of more guys on the inside. The outside is tough. Always is.

Brad Holmes seems to get hooked on certain things, and the University of Alabama is one of them.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Kadyn Proctor is a Detroit Lion. Imo, he’s the odds-on favorite at this point.

I’ve heard rumors of character issues multiple places. Don’t know if they’re true or not which is why I’m usually hesitant to bring them up, but even Pouncy mentioned them so that seems like a go ahead. And IF they are then he is for sure not the odds-on favorite.

Even if we drafted him to play OG?
I think he’d be a good fit there.

Bet you felt like a kid on Christmas.

I think he’d be even worse there. Him trying to pull would be like this:

I can confirm that he’s not a guy I see as a Dan Campbell football player from a character standpoint.

I’d heard the rumblings for a while now but it’s really difficult to get the true scoop on stuff like this. Sometimes they come to nothing. But on Proctor I’ve heard it multiple times at this point, and when our own beat guys are saying it might turn us off of him, then I have no choice but to reports the facts as I hear them

For sure. I sense no coping mechanism. None whatsoever.

Good. That’s what I’m going for.

Honestly there are plenty of prospects I’ve liked less than Proctor. I think I’m coming off as a hater and I don’t mean to, I’d love to add him as a G at a reasonable price. I just think there’s a bigger disconnect between who I see him being, and what the NFL media is trying to tell me he is than I can remember.

Honestly I feel pretty similar about Dunker, but thankfully you’re not seeing him constantly mocked to us in the 1st

There are a lot of OTs that I like as guard converts later. If we’re needing one more I think round 5 can produce a high level Guard starter from the OTs that don’t meet thresholds group. In fact I think the OTs that don’t meet thresholds group might be my favorite aspect of a meh OL class that is now about to predictably get massively over-drafted.

There’s a lot of potential value there for sure. That’s where Joe Thuney, Bitonio, on and on… came from. It takes some projecting so there are a lot of misses, but because of that the cost is usually more palatable, hence the value. Honestly I bet 40+% of the league’s iOL were predominantly tackles in college, and that might be a conservative estimate.

And there is fallback value in teams and at times in certain offensive sets. Like Alex Harkey… I think he’ll be a good bully of a Guard with time. But I know he’ll be a badass jumbo OT right away.

And he’s basically free

I’m kind of digging the World injury redshirt lottery ticket. Wanted no part to do with him before the injury. But back end of day three, not taking up a roster spot for year one and built like 1% of all OT prospects are and with some proof of concept at a lower level?

If we keep adding day 3 picks I’m OK with it.

I’m starting to dig into Enrique Cruz a little, he really popped off testing at the combine, and apparently we had a formal interview with him. Tough guy to figure out, though I’m just getting started. But this profile is definitely worth another look.

At a glance I’d say the agility testing won’t quite reach the green, but we’ll see.

On a scale of 1 to 10 I do not see having 4 twos at center equal to one 8 and one 2. give me Linderbaum and Juice. Our staff may think that way. Are we looking for the cheapest option or the best option? We will find out soon enough.

excuse if I’m incorrect, yet my brain says: We just lost Decker, Glascow, Monty, possibly Rags, so how can we sit back and think ‘oh no X player isn’t “good enough to play here , even short-term? The line is in the shitter right now, we MAY not fix it to our high expectations in a single offseason. We can always upgrade later on-but in 2026, we need players that can last a season or three INSTEAD of being Thee most flawless RN.

You think Frojoldt is a 2?
