They were all trade up offers from other teams. It involved swapping multiple picks in multiple rounds but in the end I essentially only gave up one of our first rounds picks, dropped down low in the 3rd round and gave up a 5th, and 6th rounder this year. Maybe a 4th next year, I don’t remember.
Moving on from decker would have to be the same scenario as with Goff. If we had a top tier tackle, say along the lines of joe Thomas, fall to us. Then you make the move. He’d have to clearly be better than decker though.
I have zero doubt that’s what Mayhew was thinking when he took Stafford.
Who’s better, Stafford or Goff?
We need blue-chip talent. I don’t want good players and a lot of them. I want a few studs that can/will change a game. We have a team full of good players already. That’s why we were 9-8. Gonna need studs to get to another level.
