Seriously I wanna know.
Blocky McBlockorson from Navy.
Look him up.
Thomas and Legette, for sure. Here’s Thomas sending Eli Ricks into the stands (the WR on the far right):
Another angle.
It’s no surprise we’ve met with both of those guys.
I’d guess Corley but I don’t cut up W. Ky. tape and if I did it wouldn’t be to chart blocking reps.
Yeah he’s good too. You’d expect that from a guy who played RB most of his career.
It’s my understanding that Polk was kind of the dirty work guy out of the Washington trio. And Baker seems to have that attitude but I didn’t watch much UCF.
I think you can’t play at Alabama (not that Baker played a lot there), LSU or Georgia without blocking. So McConkey’s probably a good blocker too. Or at least he tries hard.
I’ve been meaning to bring it up, but Jamo is at an interesting nexus here. He has unique insight on at least three fairly relevant prospects.
Baker, Burton and… I know there’s another Alabama transfer but I’m blanking.
I was thinking Baker, Kool-Aid and Arnold. Burton was still at Georgia, right? When did he get to Bama?
Ah yeah, you’re right. Burton wasn’t there yet.
Khyree Jackson too
This is likely an unpopular thing to say, but …
At this point Kool-Aid is the most underrated player in the draft.
And I say this under the presumption that he’s getting picked somewhere between 25-40 as is currently projected.
My reasoning:
1 - Pedigree - this is a kid that has been “the guy for like 5 years”. An easy elite CB going way back.
2 - he was still Alabama’s CB1A. It’s not like he sucked and was benched. Terrion came alive. Kool-Aid didn’t fall off.
3 - his target rate was very, very low this year. For whatever reason teams peppered Arnold despite him kicking ass. When you normalize that for target rate his 2023 falls in line with his 2022. And he was seen as a top 15 pick one year ago.
I do get the long speed concerns but I do think he’s Joey Porter fast. And there is high end punt returning with him so the change of direction must be okay.
And fit does matter. But if AG is thinking I want a dude that I can just say, “You’re in press. Give them hell. Godspeed!” Then I think he’s one of the better bets in the class.
Though I do have zero clue as to just what we’re looking for stylistically at CB.
I really want this. And Stiggers.
And maybe another
Really hope we get stupid with how much we overdo CB. I’m just over it.
I agree, but usually NFL knows…except when it comes to CB.
But…depending what we do in FA…drafting a CB in round 1…tough.
As a player, he really hasn’t done anything to be super down on. And yet he’s pick 35 as opposed to pick 17.
I agree with all of this. If we stick at 29 he’s one of my favorite options. I think he’s got the highest floor of any CB in the draft. I was hesitant when everyone wanted to trade up for him, but if we can stay put and get him I’d be pretty happy with that.
I also wonder about this latest injury.
Yeah, I think our medical staff just has to make sure that the foot injury isn’t a chronic problem. Other than that, I would be good with him at 29.
It’s just a really boring pick in a way. I don’t see him as being special. But it’s plus starter reliable CB play early. But then you’re going down the press man path. But you’re playing Cam off I presume. ![]()
It’s workable but perhaps a bit disjointed.
The Lattimore trade news is interesting to me. It’s not just any organization. Trust here matters. We’ll know what they will and will not do after June 1st.
So I think you can have that as your fallback and be opportunistic and have it taken care of after FA and the draft.
Also known as Blocky Lefty
Block Right resigned.
The pairing would be soliddd
Shoutout @Thats2 @CuriousHusker for the blocking WR intel all makes sense basically what I was assuming
