One of the things we discussed is how the Packers get calls (or no calls) in meaningful situations, while their opponents get calls in situations that are not as meaningful. Statistically it works out to look like there is no bias. In reality the weight of the penalties are night and day.

Agree. Somebody needs to develop a metric for penalty impact, accounting for down change, keeping a drive going, whether it leads to a score, etc.

We don’t get first downs by penalty because Goff won’t throw to covered receivers. He insists that they’re open. Maybe TeSlaa can become a penalty magnet for us way down the field in contested situations.

The Lions and Broncos are two of the older teams in the league and you would think that would translate to fewer penalties. But it doesn’t.
Meanwhile the Packers were the youngest team in the league last year.
I firmly believe there is officiating bias. I’m not claiming conspiracy…. Just bias.
