I think Z is a pro and knows how to keep himself in shape……kind of like Anzalone. I’m sure the Lions and Z are keeping their options open. It’s interesting that he came out publicly and said he wants to be in Detroit. I think he ends up signing sometime around the time TC ends.

That’s the hope! I said the same thing about Zeitler though. He took the money to go 6 and 11 in Tennessee.
Both Z and his lady friend have said that in interviews now. His agent is probably smashing his head against a wall. Think it Z, don’t say it.

Barring injury I don’t think he comes back. If we really wanted him, he’d be signed by now. If someone else wanted to pay him what he thinks he is worth, he’d be signed by now.

Not seeing Z kind of money making us make tough choices. “Hey Jared, you want 5-8 more sacks next year and a hedge against Davenport breaking in week 4? How about moving 1/80th of your contract dollars in year 2 to year 3? Good.”
I don’t think it is money but Value.
Holmes has the money or Cap space to sign Za.
The Lions just gained additional space in the Ragnow retirement.
It is a difference of opinion on value.
Za is stubborn and so is Holmes.
Holmes set a number and is not budging.
Za thinks he is worth more.
Za needs to ask Jamaal Williams and Josh Reynolds about Holmes sticking to a number.
Levi found the market wasn’t what he thought and came back.
Za may do the same if the offer is still there and his pride will allow it.
