- Sounds like “Pillstra”
- Sounds like “Pilestra”
- Both are fine
Who cares?
i dont get it
It’s a Dutch thing.
He’s our emergency long snapper now. It used to be Hutch and then Anzalone, now its Zylstra. Didn’t realize what a pressure position that is.
I thought Zylstra was a blue pill…
I went to HS with multiple Zylstra’s and same church with their families, every one of them was the Pilestra pronunciation
Do none of you live anywhere near GR/Holland?
Because the Dutch say it’s Pill, but all I hear around town is Pile
Now, here is a better one. You know him from the movies…Boromir, Patriot Games, National Treasure…Ned Stark in GoT.
The guy you love to hate, Sean Bean.
So, is it
- Seen Bean
- Shawn Bean
- English is Stupid
- Proof Celtic and English don’t mix, well beyond 2000 years of war and subjugation
I’m still pissed about that… If you know, u know.
You forgot one.
“WTH?”
With all the west-siders here, I’m surprised nobody has mentioned that it’s a 3-syllable name that sounds like Zeye-ill-struh.
I will still pronounce it as Pillstra, because I refuse to live trampled under the little wooden boots of the Dutch.
Cloggings are real!
