Well what I will say is that this pick surprised me, but IMO Holmes has earned the benefit of the doubt with two stellar drafts. Its funny I was just watching highlights of this guy today. But I was thinking early round 2.

Idc what anyone has to say about this pick in a positive light, it’s hilarious. I LOVE Gibbs as a prospect…that being said, it’s a massive reach no matter how you break it down. He’s available at 18. And if he’s not, so what? We have the same player already on the roster.

If I’m being specific its a massive reach because the guy is 200 lbs. Or at least it has the potential to be a massive reach. I do like the idea of him hitting those outside zone runs though. I bet that was what they were thinking plus his WR skills.

Me too, and that’s what I’m choosing to focus on right now. Especially if the Lions come back and draft a defensive player we love at 18 anyway. Often times people get hung up on media draft spots after looking at way too many mock drafts. I think the prospect is way more important than “media value.”
