I don’t actually think that class was complete trash, but that was too funny not to post.

However, Ennis, Vaki, Manu, and Wingo have looked like bad picks. Arnold has shown flashes among some bad play, and Mahogany looks OK.

Vaki has played great on special teams when healthy.

He didn’t have an injury history coming out of college,
so it is hard to say that was a bad “pick” at this point.

Trading up to get him?

That part is fair to criticize with as much as they have invested in Sonic and Knuckles.

As much as we need help next year to replace and fill some roster spots.. I really hope Holmes pivots to a more aggressive UFA approach… and then looks to trade down in the draft to acquire extra picks.

I realize they have a “certain type” of player… but would be nice if he had more picks at his disposal… for future seasons or trade deadline.

It really is not trending into a good direction currently, it really sucks Rakestraw is injured all the time, especially because he was having a strong camp

Do think we need to go more “Ready to go” players tbh

Great on ST is someone I want after round 5.

I would love to see us do more trading down to stockpile picks. We don’t need top line talent. We need depth. Loads of depth.

I feel like TA doesn’t fit the grit this team desires!

Great point… risking future assets for unproven assets is always risky. Especially when we are loaded at that position and it’s a strictly ST play.

Would have loved to see him out there with the Legion of Whom but that also didn’t happen.

1- Terrian Arnold good pick

2- Rakestraw looks like DB version of Paschal & Levi. Shoulda been Dejean or at worst Green @Thats2

3- traded for CD3

Keep in mind we are going to get a 4th/5th round pick in 2026 from CD3

Manu, Vaki, Wingo we will see. Good dart throws IMO

Mahogs … we got him as part of the trade for CD3

Dude. He needed surgery. Probably not fake.

Paschal still makes me sad overall tbh

I think we resign him cause his value is low after rn, and when he does play, he’s a good run stuffing DE, but that’s really it

I never said the injury was fake!!! Just his personality doesn’t seem like a grit kind of guy regardless of the injury. Watch his podcast he seems kinda soft if I’m being real!

I like TA and think he’s goign to be a super solid corner. Jury is out on mahogany. I liked rakestraw but he’s even more crippled than brad would draft it seems.

the rest? we had larger holes. note: still no pressure on other qbs while all the pressure on ours.

.
.

Since he wasn’t activated from the NFI list….

his contract has “tolled” for 2026… meaning he is not a free agent.

Lions can bring him back… for his 2025 salary of $1.6 million.

No negotiation needed.

Lets not forget that this draft class was after all of our trade ups. We would have had like 3-4 more picks if Holmes hadn’t traded up multiple times. When we traded up for Arnold.. we used our 3rd rounder that the cowboys used to take cooper beebe. How nice would it have been to sit and get a great young offensive lineman? This has been what bothers me most about Holmes’s strategy. He always gives up value for “his guy” which is fine when we had a ton of picks due to the stafford trade, but now that its over and we are picking later.. we are thinning out our roster fast due to all these moves for projects.

I think TA was shit on by fans a lot last year because of the penalties, and some of them were warranted.

But I think TA took an obvious jump this year, he played pretty good ball this year when healthy. I hope this year is a one off with his injuries. I expect another jump for him next year.

Puts a major dent in the accolades from the 2021 draft class

After those first 4 picks in 2023 its been ALL downhill.

DV is draft pick value. What the value of the picks that were used to get the player.
They traded down to get Gibbs so his value is lower. They traded up for Manu and TeSlaa etc, so their values are higher.

First round. Brad had done pretty good to great.

But round two? Its after 2023, its been meh to horrible.

Rounds 3/4? HORRIBLE absolutely TRASH!

Rounds 5+ pretty good. At least league average. Get a few depth players. All you can ask for.

But those 3/4 rounders dude!

Thats waisted capital.

You have to either NAIL those draft picks. Or use those to trade for a good player. Dan has done NEITHER!

Meanwhile teams like CHI, LAR, PHI etc have used those picks to draft GREAT depth or traded for good players to get them over the top.

TeSlaa, Manu, Bromart, Hooker, Vaki,

Those guys, are worth at a MINIMUM 3 SOLID rotational contributors.

All of those guys were head scratchers at the time of the draft. Like why? They weren’t massive needs. They didnt have a proven track record or were injured.

A ELITE GM like Philly’s Howie would have turned that into 4+ players making key plays on a weekly basis not yearly

half of his receptions are TDs. I mean really how great is that? Averaging half a catch per game is worth multiple 3rd round picks.
